Harleston Village
Harleston Village not only has homes, but the Hospitals are on Calhoun Street just a few blocks away. The Hospitals in Charleston are Roper Hospital, Medical University of South Carolina and the County Hospital. The Medical University is a teaching hospital and constantly growing and in the forefront of research and technology. Roper is building a new wing for Cardiology patients. Many residents of Harleston Village work at the hospitals as well as love the convenience of being so close to health care facilities.
Colonial Lake is also near Harleston Village. Many residents use the lake and walkways for exercise and enjoyment. Across the street from the lake is a small City Park with tennis courts and a base ball field. Many athletic events happen there.
Mason Preparatory School is also in the neighborhood. It is a private school with grades 1-8.
